The scorpion

A scorpion asks a frog to let him get on his back
and carry him to the other side of a river.
At first the frog refuses, fearing it will be stung along the way.
However, the scorpion argues convincingly that this fear is unfounded:
if it stings her, in fact, he too would fall into the river and,
not knowing how to swim, would die together with her.
The frog, then, accepts and allows the scorpion to climb onto its back,
but, halfway, it stings it, condemning both of them to death.
When the frog asks the scorpion the reason for his crazy act, he replies:
“It’s my nature!”.
